Sticky Asian Beef Ribs

Ingredients:

For the Ribs:

3-4 pounds beef ribs (from Permaculture Pastures)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

For the Sauce:

½ cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a Paleo-friendly option)

⅓ cup local raw honey (from our farm—it’s the best!)

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, if you like a little heat)

For Garnish:

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

2 green onions, sliced

Instructions:

1. Season the Ribs:

Start by patting those beautiful beef ribs dry with a paper towel. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

2. Slow-Cook the Ribs:

Place the seasoned ribs in a slow cooker or a large roasting pan. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours (or in the oven at 275°F for the same amount of time). This slow cooking method lets the meat get tender and juicy—it’ll practically fall off the bone!

3. Make the Sauce:

While the ribs are cooking, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn!

4. Coat the Ribs:

Once the ribs are done cooking, transfer them to a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush the sticky sauce all over the ribs until they’re completely coated.

5. Broil for a Crispy Finish:

Pop the ribs under the broiler on high for 3-5 minutes, just until the sauce caramelizes and gets that sticky, golden glaze. Keep a close watch so they don’t burn!

6. Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle the ribs with sesame seeds and green onions for a little pop of flavor and color. Serve them up warm with plenty of napkins—things are about to get deliciously messy!

Why These Ribs Are a Winner

Y’all, these Sticky Asian Beef Ribs are what dreams are made of. The slow cooking makes the meat melt-in-your-mouth tender, and that sticky, sweet sauce is downright irresistible. Plus, they’re surprisingly easy to make, even on a busy weeknight.

Pair these ribs with some steamed rice, roasted veggies, or a crisp side salad for a complete meal. And if you’re serving these up for company, don’t be surprised when folks start asking for the recipe!
